The Enlisted Spouses' Club is an organization consisting of spouses of military personnel, E-1 through E-9, active duty and retired. The success of the Club is due in part to the diverse membership. The wisdom and strength of those familiar with military life is combined with the energy and fresh ideas of the new spouses to the military, creating an atmosphere unlike any other.
Letter from the ESC President
Dear Prospective Member, The Fort Hood Area Enlisted Spouses Club (ESC) extends a warm welcome, and invites you to attend your first meeting as our guest. Our goal is to promote the welfare of, and significantly improve the quality of life for, military personnel and their families assigned to Fort Hood. At the same time, we provide a forum for enlisted spouses to foster life-long relationships and have fun.
The spouses of military personnel (E-1 through E-9, active duty and retired) network together to form The Enlisted Spouses' Club. The success of this private organization is a result of its diverse membership ~ the wisdom and strength of tenured military spouses and the energy and fresh ideas of spouses who are new to military life.
The ESC donates thousands of dollars annually to the Fort Hood and surrounding communities. We host fundraising events, which enables us to donate financial support to other military-oriented organizations. Many Fort Hood families have benefited from our donations to organizations including Army Emergency Relief, American Red Cross, The Fort Hood USO, Santa’s Workshop, Boy and Girl Scouts, Scholarship Funds, and many others. Our website (www.fhaesc.com) has unlimited resources for the seasoned Fort Hood spouse as well as spouses who just arrived. Our website, combined with our bi-monthly newsletter, will provide public service announcements, spouse alerts, special events, club news, a feature section highlighting other praiseworthy organizations, and lots of information about this community we call “home”. Our volunteers provide the infrastructure for the Enlisted Spouses’ Club; our strength is a direct result of their dedication. There are many volunteer opportunities, such as the Executive Board, Committee Chairs, Community Services Representatives, Fundraisers, and Club functions. Please take our hand and become part of our family; we will work together to support other enlisted spouses, the military, and the Fort Hood community. The choice is yours! We look forward to you joining the ESC family as we work together to help Fort Hood live up to its reputation as “ The Great Place”.
Our General Membership Meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 pm, at the Montague Village Community Life Bldg. #70000 on West Fort Hood. A map of Fort Hood is just one of the many resources you will find on our website!
