About Us:
In 1989 SGM Sherman Johns (USA Ret), and his wife Pat Johns (a
KISD school teacher) opened Meineke. They had already opened another automotive
repair shop and opened Meineke in order to offer local residents repairs for
brake, exhaust and suspension systems.
In 1991 Sherman and Pat also opened their
first Subway.
Their businesses grew and they were successful.
Sherman and Pat
gradually eased out of the businesses, but kept them in the family.
Meineke is
currently owned by Pat's oldest daughter Cheryl (a nurse at Scott and White) and
her husband Paul (GySgt USMC Ret.)
