Get A Clue Theatre began as a desire to do more comedic styled acting in the Central Texas Area. Originally from the Oklahoma Territory, or as some of you Texans call it "North Texas". I, Jessica Stone, performed for 7 years with "The Whodunit Dining Room." This was my first foray into the comedic mystery theatre realm, and it was love at first sight. I am like all actors that crave one day to be on the "Silver Screen", but unlike many actors I have found my niche in the comedy.
I recently moved to Texas around 3 years ago, and for the first couple years observed that the type of theatre I was used to wasn't available in this area, and so after carefully planning and with a ton of supporters, *(not the athletic type of course), Get A Clue Theatre came into existence. We have been an operating theatre company for 1 year now, and we are becoming a competitive force in the "Arts" arena. Using shows written by Earline Cottet, a native of the Sooner State, and previously performed by "The Whodunit Dining Room", you mix that with quick witted actors, shake in an gourmet meal, with a touch of an elegant location and my friends you have a show that will bust your pants at the seams and make your cheeks hurt. With plays suitable for both young and old alike, we look forward to a great season filled with fun, laughter, and tears (of joy).
Our cast is composed of actors from all different walks of life, stemming from musical actors, film actors, theatre actors, and stand-up comedians. But they all have one thing in common. The ability to entertain an audience with improv and comedy that comes from a wit faster than a speeding bullet (and its just as hard).
Get A Clue Theatre has opportunity knocking at the door, and we are definitely opening that door wide open. So if you need to, sit back, relax and get a good laugh, let us give your otherwise dull party a kick, and bam it up with flavor!
