CandleWealth is a unique business that offers opportunity to experience the fun of making your own candles. They have great gift ideas for Mothers day or any other special day. All Candles are "Clean" and come in a large variety of scents and sizes.
Q. Please tell us a little about your business: How/When did it start out, large/ small, family business, number of employees, locations, name founder/ current owner.

A. Our parent company, Candlewealth, came into being in 2004. We are a mom and pop distributor of their products. Our names are Chris and Nuala Taylor and our distributorship is called ‘Akamai Candles’. Akamai is a Hawaiian word that means ‘smart’.

Q. What services or products provided?  What do you specialize in?  Any new upcoming services or products planned, special events happening?

A. We make and sell natural vegetable soy candles and we also give other people the opportunity to experience the fun of making their own candles when we have candle-making parties. If people love the candles and want to become distributors themselves, we can get them started with their own business/candle ‘factory’.

Q.  What makes you stand out?

A. Our candles are all-natural soy products. They burn longer than paraffin candles and 95% cleaner. (Paraffin candles give off toxic fumes as evidenced by the oily black smoke that rises off of them when they burn.) Our candles are easy to clean up with just soap and water, which makes every container reusable. The wax also burns at a cooler temperature so the danger of a wax burn is eliminated. Paraffin is a petroleum by-product. Our soy wax is grown here in the USA. Buying soy candles supports farmers and not oil companies.

Q.  Do you support the military?  If so, how …adopt a unit, military discounts, volunteering.


A. We offer fundraising packages for the army family readiness groups and other organizations. Our home-based business opportunity is open for both military and civilians.

Q.    Do you have any specials currently offered?

 A.  For every purchase of $40 or more we will give each customer a free 4oz candle. If a customer wants to start their own home-based business, the materials they purchase to start are also received at a discount.

Q.  If you had one thing to say to Central Texas what would it be?  Tagline? If you have a slogan, tell us.

A.” Better for your home. Better for your family. Better for the economy. Go green, go soy!”
